The typical working frequency of high-frequency RFID tag is 13.56MHz, which is mainly passive. UHF tags operate at a frequency of 860 MHz to 960 MHz, which can be divided into active tags and passive tags. When working, the RF tag is located in the far field of the radiation field of the UHF reader antenna, and the coupling mode between the RFID tag and the tag is the electromagnetic coupling mode. The radiation field of UHF reader antenna provides radio frequency energy for passive tags and wakes them up. The reading distance of the corresponding radio frequency identification system is generally greater than 1 m, typically 4 m to 6 m, and the maximum is more than 10 m. Reader antennas are generally directional antennas, and only radio frequency tags within the directional beam range of the reader antenna can be read/written. UHF tags are widely used in railway vehicle identification, container identification and road vehicle identification and automatic toll collection system because of their long reading distance and fast data transmission speed.
No.1 High frequency tags are cheaper than UHF tags, save energy, penetrate non-metallic objects with strong force, and work frequency is not constrained by radio frequency control. They are most suitable for objects with high water content, such as fruits.
NO.2 UHF has a wide range of functions and fast data transmission speed, but it consumes energy and has weak penetration. It can not interfere with the operation area too much. It is suitable for monitoring goods transported from harbor to warehouse. Moreover, UHF system has a high price, which is about 10 times higher than that of high frequency system.
